Who We Are
How It Began
Born from a Call
to Serve
Good Samaritan Home was founded in Ranson, West Virginia by community members who witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of addiction on families and neighborhoods — and refused to look away.
Inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan, our founders believed that true healing required more than treatment — it required a home, a community, and people willing to walk alongside those in recovery for as long as it takes.
Today, we operate as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, serving Jefferson County and the surrounding region with structured sober living, peer support, and pathways back to a full and meaningful life.

To provide safe, structured, and faith-inspired sober living for individuals in recovery — empowering them to rebuild their lives with dignity, purpose, and the support of a caring community in Ranson, West Virginia.

A Jefferson County where every person in recovery has access to a safe home, a strong support network, and a genuine path forward — where no one has to face the road to healing alone.
